Carlos di Sarli, Roberto Rufino

Orchestra: Carlos di Sarli

Singer(s): Roberto Rufino

Period: 1939–1943

Comment:
After the sexteto period di Sarli is back in 1939. The style  of music is completely different from the Sexteto period. Roberto Rufino is one of the most important singers recording with di Sarli’s orchestra. At the beginning (1939-1941) their tangos are quite fast and carry high energy (e.g. Corazón, Lo Pasao...Pasó). Later (1941-1943) they slow down, bringing more lyrical songs (e.g. Esta Noche De Luna, Verdemar).

DJ:
I think that at one tanda of di Sarli from 40ies (with Rufino, Podesta, Duran or instrumental) is an absolute must in every milonga. The tandas of di Sarli with Rufino always work. Practically all songs are very good for milonga usage.
